News and appeals

Numerous arrests were made during the week.  Offences include:  Grievous bodily harm, common assault, drug driving, drink driving, attempted burglary, drunk and disorderly, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, stalking and affray.

Crime summary

Chichester (WC1)
Highfield Lane, Oving – Between Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 July the windscreen of a vehicle was criminally damaged. Serial 1651 09/07.
Sherborne Road, Chichester – Overnight between Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 July the door of a community building was criminally damaged. Serial 1512 09/07.
Main Road, Nutbourne – On the afternoon of Wednesday 8 July a garage was burgled and an attempt was made to steal a bicycle leaving it damaged. Serial 0802 09/07.
Chidham Lane, Chidham – On the afternoon of Friday 10 July a car window was broken and a handbag, laptop, bank cards, cash and engagement ring was stolen. Serial 1002 10/07.
Little Breach, Chichester – Overnight between Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July two cars were criminally damaged when their paintwork was scratched. Serial 1120 11/07.
Henty Gardens, Chichester – Overnight between Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July a vehicle was broken into. Golf clubs and clothing were stolen. Serial 0561 12/07.
Charlton Road, Singleton – Overnight between Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July a vehicle was broken into and numerous power tools were stolen. Serial 0729 12/07.
Scant Road West, Hambrook – Between Wednesday 1 and Sunday 12 July a garage was burgled and an outboard motor was stolen. Serial 0582 13/07.
Selsey, The Witterings and surrounding area (WC2)
May Close, Sidlesham – Between Monday 29 June and Monday 6 July a clubhouse was burgled. 9 racing clocks and a printer were stolen. Serial 0688 06/07.
Dell Quay Road, Chichester – Between Wednesday 8 and Friday 10 July a garage was burgled and two bikes were stolen: a blue “Rocky Mountain” bike and an orange “Ghost Kato 2.9 Hardtail” mountain bike. Serial 0680 11/07.
Rotten Row, Sidlesham – In the early hours of Sunday 12 July a garage was burgled yet nothing was stolen. Serial 0429 12/07.
Midhurst, Petworth and surrounding area (WC3)
Tufts Meadow, Midhurst – On the evening of Wednesday 8 July a vehicle was broken into and a jack was stolen. Serial 1549 08/07.
Mead Way, Midhurst – On the evening of Wednesday 8 July two vehicles were broken into and numerous power tools were stolen. Serial 0356 09/07 and 0418 10/07.
Wheatsheaf Enclosure, Milland – Overnight between Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 July an outbuilding was burgled yet nothing was stolen. Serial 0623 09/07.
Bell Vale Lane, Haslemere – Between Sunday 5 and Tuesday 7 July a garden shed was burgled and numerous Stihl power tools were stolen: a petrol engine clearing saw, a hedge cutter with extension pole, a hedge trimmer, a petrol engine strimmer, a petrol engine leaf blower and a chain saw. Serial 111 09/07.
Stopham, Pulborough - In the early hours of Saturday 11 July there was an attempted burglary at a business premises. Serial 1492 11/07.
Rogate Road, Liss – Overnight between Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July a commercial premises was burgled and numerous power tools were stolen. Serial 0431 12/07.
