Witnesses sought to Sompting assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Sompting. 
Around 9pm on Thursday (14 May), two men knocked on the door of a property in Bushby Close and assaulted the victim and damaged their property. 
Just prior to this, a vehicle parked nearby belonging to the occupant was damaged as well as an electrical box. 
The men left the scene on foot, heading south. 
The first suspect is described as white, aged in his 40s, around 5'8'', wearing mainly dark clothing and had a fair-coloured beard. 
The second supect is described as white, also aged in his 40s and was wearing a light colour hooded sweatshirt.
PC David Slade said: "This was an unpleasant and frightening situation for the victim and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward and assist with our investigation. 
"If anyone has information that can lead to the identification of the suspects, please report online or call 101 quoting serial 1362 of 14/05".

Man suffers serious injuries in Worthing robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries in a Worthing robbery. 
Officers received a report of a man being approached by a group of around seven young people in the Rotary Recreational ground around 12.40am on Friday (15 May). 
The victim was pushed to the ground and kicked in the head and body before his personal belongings were stolen. He suffered serious injuries, including a bleed on the brain and a fractured eye socket, and he was taken to hospital for treatment. 
Officers conducted an area search but the suspects were not located. 
Police would like to hear from any witnesses of the assault to come forward and report this information either online or call 101 quoting 55 of 15/05.

CCTV released of Shoreham armed robbery

Police investigating the armed robbery of the Tesco Express store in Shoreham last Friday (May 15) have released CCTV of the incident.
At 6.27am, the man walked into the store in Upper Shoreham Road with a silver handgun, threatened staff and grabbed a quantity of cash before running out and off down Eastern Avenue.
Detective Sergeant Andy Ricks said: "This was a terrifying incident and we are seeking the public's help in identifying the man in the CTTV. I am hoping that someone may recognise the distinctive beanie hat or the green jacket worn by the suspect.
"If you can help us in any way with our enquiries, please report online or call 101 quoting Operation Stafford."
Two men, aged 30 and 38, from Shoreham, were both arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released on bail until June 12.
