News and appeals

Numerous arrests were made during the week. Offences include:  harassment, obstruction, domestic assault, burglary dwelling, threats to kill, stalking, criminal damage, robbery, possession of a Class B drug, wanted on warrant, burglary other than dwelling, excess alcohol, driving whilst disqualified, taking a motor vehicle without consent, theft of motor vehicle, driving with no insurance, vehicle interference, shoplifting, possession of a Class A drug, going equipped and drug driving.

Baffins Lane, Chichester – On the afternoon of Monday 13 January a business was broken into and cash was stolen. Serial 0509 14/01.
 
Bognor Road, Merston – Between Friday 10 and Tuesday 14 January a property was broken into and lead was removed from the roof. Serial 1368 15/01.
 
Monks Hill, Emsworth – On the afternoon of Tuesday 14 January a black Fiat 500 was stolen from a car park. Serial 0960 14/01.
 
South Street, Chichester – Overnight on Wednesday 15 January a business was broken into and numerous bottles of alcohol were stolen. Serial 0112 15/01.
 
South Street, Chichester – On Wednesday 15 January a business was broken into and an employee’s belongings were stolen. Serial 0260 15/01.
 
Charlton, Chichester – On the evening of Wednesday 15 January a vehicle was broken into and numerous tools were stolen. Serial 0357 15/01.
 
Lavant Road, Chichester – Between Monday 13 and Wednesday 15 January a black Mazda pick-up truck was stolen. Serial 0670 15/01.
 
Madgwick Lane, Westhampnett – On Thursday 16 January the office area of a business was broken into and an employee’s belongings were stolen. Serial 0867 16/01.
 
Hunters Race, West Lavant – On the afternoon of Friday 17 January a vehicle was broken into and a handbag was stolen. Serial 0724 17/01.
 
Marsh Lane, Easthampnett, Chichester – Overnight on Friday 17 January a silver Subaru Forester was stolen. Serial 0317 18/01.
 
Pine Grove, West Broyle, Chichester – On Sunday 19 January two garages were targeted. One garage was broken into where a chainsaw was stolen. An attempt was made to gain entry to the other, causing damage to the door. Serial 0863 19/01.
 
Selsey, The Witterings and surrounding area (WC2)
 
Vincent Road, Selsey – Overnight on Monday 13 January a white Ford Transit was stolen. Serial 1420 13/01.
 
Hilton Park, East Wittering – On Tuesday 14 January during the evening a business was broken into. An orange pedal cycle was stolen. Serial 0406 15/01.
 
Chichester Road, Sidlesham Common – On Saturday 18 January a vehicle was broken into and some paperwork was stolen. Serial 1378 18/01.
 
Midhurst, Petworth and surrounding area (WC3)
 
Northchapel, Petworth – Overnight on Monday 13 January a vehicle was broken into. Numerous tools were stolen including three chainsaws and a drill.
 
Northchapel, Petworth – Overnight on Tuesday 14 January a shed was broken into. A large amount of tools were stolen including a circular saw, drill driver, sander, angle grinder, jigsaw, saw runners and a table. Serial 0224 14/01.
 
Tillington, Petworth – Overnight on Tuesday 14 January a vehicle was broken into. A pole saw and hedge trimmer have been stolen.
 
June Lane, Midhurst – Overnight on Tuesday 14 January a vehicle was broken into. Numerous power tools were stolen including a petrol cutter, drill, impact driver, angle grinder, wood saw and drill sets. Serial 0631 15/01.
 
Elsted, Midhurst – Between Saturday 11 and Wednesday 15 January a garage was broken into and a chainsaw was stolen. Serial 0278 19/01.
 
Holmbush Way, Midhurst – Overnight on Thursday 16 January a business was broken into and a vehicle was stolen. Serial 0237 17/01.
 
London Road, Petworth – Overnight on Thursday 16 January a residence was broken into. Numerous tools were stolen. Serial 0243 17/01.
 
Heyshott, Midhurst – Overnight on Thursday 16 January a business was broken into and cash was stolen. Serial 0353 17/01.
 
School Lane, Stedham – Overnight on Thursday 16 January a business was broken into and cash was stolen. Serial 0563 17/01.
 
Severals Road, Bepton – Overnight on Thursday 16 January a residence was broken into and a laptop was stolen. Serial 1184 18/01.
 
Elsted, Midhurst – Overnight on Friday 17 January a business was broken into and cash was stolen. Serial 0858 18/01.
 
Elsted, Midhurst – On the morning of Saturday 18 January a business was broken into and food was stolen. Serial 0301 18/01.
 
West Street, Midhurst – Overnight on Saturday 18 January a business was broken into and cash was stolen. Serial 0289 19/01.
 
Railway Terrace, Midhurst – Overnight on Saturday 18 January a vehicle was broken into. Numerous tools were stolen including a disc cutter, drill, multi-tool and chainsaw.
 
North Street, Midhurst – Overnight on Saturday 18 January a business was broken into and cash was stolen. Serial 0402 19/01.
