News and appeals

31 arrests were made over Christmas Eve and Boxing Day by Chichester and Arun officers.  Offences include:- domestic assault, common assault, possession of a Class A drug, theft of a motor vehicle, drug driving, actual bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon, theft from a motor vehicle, going equipped for burglary, affray, drunk and disorderly, criminal damage, possession of a Class B drug, shoplifting, robbery, immigration, dangerous driving, drink driving, driving with no insurance and fail to stop.   
 
Man arrested after serious A259 collision

A motorcyclist remains in a critical condition following the incident in Bognor Regis.

One suspect charged and another arrested and released under investigation.

Bognor
 
Chichester Road, Orchard – On Monday 16 December there was a report of a workshop having been broken into over the weekend and money stolen.  Serial 0170 of 16/12.
 
Lake Lane, Barnham – Between Friday 13 December and Monday 16 December a building site was broken into; various tools have been stolen.  Serial 0208 of 16/12.
 
West Street, Marine – Between Friday 13 December and Monday 16 December an office was broken into.  Nothing was reported stolen, however displayed Christmas presents and cards had been ripped open.  Serial 0330 of 16/12.

 
Chichester Road, Bersted – Overnight on Saturday 21 December a hairdressers was broken into and money stolen from the petty cash and tip jar.    Serial 0476 of 22/12.
 
Annandale Avenue, Orchard – Overnight on Monday 16 December a vehicle was entered and paperwork was stolen.  Serial 0184 of 17/12.

 
Sandymount Avenue, Orchard – Overnight on Monday 16 December a vehicle was entered and a sat nav and leads were stolen.   Serial 0480 of 17/12.
 
Orchard Way, Orchard – Overnight on Monday 16 December the window to a vehicle was smashed and fishing equipment stolen.  Serial 0573 of 17/12.

 
Canning Road, Felpham – Overnight on Friday 20 December, the window to a van was smashed and wrapped Christmas gifts stolen.  Serial 1633 of 21/12.    
 
Littlehampton, Arundel and Surround
 
Seagate Walk, Beach – On Monday 16 December between 8.00 am and 11.45 pm a garage was broken into; nothing reported stolen however damage was caused to the lock.  Serial 0009 of 16/12.
 
Holmes Way, Wick – During the early hours of Saturday morning we were notified of a deliberate ignition to a motorcycle.    The motorcycle had been stolen off a driveway in Beaton Avenue, Wick.   Serial 0548 of 21/12.   
 
North Ham Road, Ham – Overnight on Friday 20 December rear and front number plates were stolen from a car.   Serial 0545 of 21/12.   
 
 
Anti-Social Behaviour
 
Downview Way, Yapton – On Tuesday 17 December, during the evening eggs were thrown at a property’s windows.   Serial 1187 of 17/12.
 
Littlehampton Museum, Church Street, River – On Thursday 19 December, early evening there was a report of approximately 20 youths behaving in an anti-social manner.   Officers attended the location however the youths had dispersed.  No specific offences had occurred however extra patrols were put in place during the evening.  Serial 1195 of 19/12
