News and appeals

A number of arrests were made during this week.  Offences include racially aggravated common assault, theft from motor vehicle, possession of a Class B drug, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm, drug driving, assault police, excess alcohol, affray, common assault, possession of a Class A drug, theft, burglary other than dwelling, stalking, vehicle interference, threats to kill, robbery, domestic assault, attempted arson, possession of a bladed article, breach of bail, wanted on warrant and prison recall.  
Bognor death investigation continues as two remain on police bail

Intensive investigation into death of Daniel Weyman continues – information still welcomed.
Police keeping up pressure on drug dealers across Sussex Police
29 arrests and more than 50 vulnerable people assisted.
Man receives prison sentence for vehicle interference in Bognor Regis

Crime summary

Chichester Road, Orchard – Overnight on Sunday 13 October a cycle was stolen from a shed.  Serial 0518 of 14/10.
Hillsboro Road, Orchard – Overnight on Tuesday 15 October a porch door was forced open and a large box of vintage toy cars stolen.  Serial 0419 of 16/10.
Hook Lane, Hotham – Overnight on Saturday 19 October a child’s rocking horse was stolen from a shed.  A neighbouring shed was also broken into and gardening equipment, tool box and cycle were stolen.  Serial 0440 of 20/10.

Marshall Avenue, Bognor – Overnight on Sunday 13 October a van was broken into and tools were stolen.   Serial 031 of 14/10.
Hatherleigh Gardens, Orchard – Overnight on Monday 14 October a vehicle was broken into and an old style Nokia mobile phone stolen.  Serial 1544 of 15/10. 
Aldwick Road, Aldwick – Overnight on Wednesday 15 October a vehicle was entered; nothing reported stolen.  Serial 0436 of 19/10.   

Bedford Street, Marine – On Saturday 19 October between 12.45 pm and 12.55 pm a motorcycle was stolen from a car park.    Serial 0659 of 19/10.   
Littlehampton, Arundel and Surround

North Ham Road, Ham – Overnight on Monday 14 October a property was broken into and a television stolen.  Serial 0368 of 15/10.  
Norfolk Road, Beach – On Friday 18 October there was a report of an attempt break to a holiday home where damage was evident around the door frame.  Serial 1006 of 18/10.
Modern Moulds Business Park, Hardwood Road, Ham – Overnight on Friday 18 October a unit was broken into and vehicle keys stolen.     A window to a van was also smashed.  Serial 0358 of 19/10.

Nyton Road, Westergate – On Saturday 19 October during the day a property was broken into and a cash box was stolen.  Serial 1191 of 19/09.
London Road, Slindon – On Saturday 19 October between 1.00 pm and 8.15 pm a property was broken into.  No items have been reported stolen at this time.   Serial 1306 of 19/10.

North Ham Road, Ham – Overnight on Wednesday 16 October a Honda Shadow Motorcycle was stolen from the front garden of a property.   Serial 0282 of 17/10.
Norfolk Gardens, Littlehampton – Overnight on Thursday 17 October a vehicle was entered and a work laptop stolen.  Serial 0889 of 18/10.   

Greenacres Ring, Angmering – Overnight on Saturday 19 October there was an attempt break to a vehicle, no entry was gained however damage was caused to the boot.  Serial 0942 of 20/10.
Anti-Social Behaviour
On Tuesday 15 October there were two separate reports of youths acting in an anti-social manner at Rustington Retail Park, running around and shouting at customers in the car park.   Serial 1131 of 15/10.    
Slindon Bottom Road, Fontwell – On Saturday 19 October there was a report of  motorcycles going into the old pit and driving anti-socially.     A unit attended, however the motorcycles had left.   Serial 0587 of 19/10.
