Witness Appeal

On Sunday 1 September a man was attacked and left in a critical condition in Broadfield Barton, Crawley around 11.40 am. 

The 30 year old victim from London was taken to hospital after suffering a stab wound to his chest when a suspect described as black, aged between 18-20, slim build with short dark hair and wearing a light coloured track suit chased after the victim.

The victim is in a stable condition.  We are looking for anyone who witnessed this incident and/or anyone who may know the suspect to contact us.

You must:

Be over 18 years of age

Attend puppy training classes as often as required

Drive or have access to a car on a daily basis

Have no more than four leaving hours a day

Have your own secure garden

Have time to devote

We are continuing to focus efforts on investigating and preventing the sexual and physical abuse of vulnerable people in Sussex, as news comes of the increased reporting of rapes country and county-wide.

A report by the national Rape Monitoring Group shows that the recording of rape in Sussex in line with other forces has increased again.

In the 12 months to 31 March 2018, 1,381 reports were recorded in Sussex, an increase of 325 from the 2016/2017 figure.

Between 30 August to 1 September a black & green Carerra bicycle was taken from a shed in Tunnmeade, Ifield, Crawley.  It was last seen around 6.30pm on the Friday, at some point over the weekend a suspect has climbed over a locked gate into the garden and entered the shed.
