Witness Appeal



On Saturday 24 August, shortly before 6pm, emergency services were called to the A23 northbound near it’s junction with B2115 Cuckfield Lane, Warninglid where a motorcyclist appeared to have collided with the central barrier.

A 61 year old man from Colchester, Essex had been riding a black Yamaha cruiser style motorbike, as a result of the accident he sustained life changing injuries.

We are looking for anyone that may have seen what happened or may have dash cam footage.

We are looking for applications from families to look after our four legged friends until they are ready to start their career with us.

You must:

Be over 18 years of age

Attend puppy training classes as often as required

Drive or have access to a car on a daily basis

Have no more than four leaving hours a day

Have your own secure garden

Have time to devote

Be very patient!

We are continuing to focus efforts on investigating and preventing the sexual and physical abuse of vulnerable people in Sussex, as news comes of the increased reporting of rapes country and county-wide.

A report by the national Rape Monitoring Group shows that the recording of rape in Sussex in line with other forces has increased again.

In the 12 months to 31 March 2018, 1,381 reports were recorded in Sussex, an increase of 325 from the 2016/2017 figure.

Burglaries

Ref: 0893 29/08

On 29 August there was a burglary in Ashenground Road, Haywards Heath.  The victim left their home at 12:30pm and returned home around 3.40pm to find someone had opened all the cupboards and had searched through their home.  The suspect/s had managed to open a safe. Jewellery and clothes were identified as missing.  It is believed the suspect/s entered via a window.

On 29 August between 10:30am and 12:30pm, a male suspect aged 30-40 yrs wearing a red checked shirt climbed over the stable door into the victims kitchen in High Street, Lindfield, Haywards Heath, he asked the victim for money to repair their gate, the suspect then went into the bedroom and lounge before taking approximately £330 from a box, the suspect then exited the same way as he entered.
