Working Together to Target Anti - Social Behaviour in Uckfield

Last Friday 7th September, Sussex Police worked together with the British Transport Police, and Rail Enforcement Officers in order to tackle recent issues surrounding anti social behaviour at Uckfield Railway Station. Throughout the course of the Operation a dispersal authority was put in place and a number of youths were issued tickets banning them from Uckfield for the evening. The parents of these individuals were contacted and asked to come and collect their children.

In addition to this, rail enforcement officers issued a total of twenty six penalty fare notices to persons who were travelling to Uckfield without a valid train ticket.
