Update on last weekend's Operation Blitz activity

On 4th May 2018 PC Willsher, PCSO Clarke, PCSO Honey, PCSO Camille and PCSO Raczynska were out on BLITZ, we attended all hot spot areas throughout the evening which were surprisingly quiet. There were no youths in the areas despite the lovely hot weather and the bank holiday weekend.

There was one call to the Pavilion Tea Rooms, however, on arrival there was no trace of any youths. Our team then got called to Shinewater Park due to reports of some youths on motorcycles, Officers were deployed and walked around the park , our team spoke to some dog walkers, however, there was no trace of any youths.

On Saturday 5th May Blitz kicked off with a check of the ASDA, Crumbles rear car park area in which we came across a lot of empty drinks cartons and rubbish. There had obviously been a fairly large group gathered at some point in the evening, but not at the time we were there. All other Blitz Hotspots were checked with no activity of note.

Following a serious Road Traffic Collision (RTC) in the Town Centre we were requested to provide assistance with crowd control and traffic duties. The purpose of this was to safely allow the transportation of the patient to the Air Ambulance which had landed on the beach just east of the Pier.
