Courier Scam

Alert message sent 01/05/2018 09:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Sussex Police

1/5/18

We have had a number of reports of courier scams across Hastings & Rother.

The scammer poses as a police officer on the telephone and tells victims to withdraw money from the bank then have it collected.

Police officers would never ask you for money.
Some people have lost nearly £5,000 by falling for this scam.
If you get a call such as this - please do not part with any money and call us as soon as possible to report it.
