News and appeals

Numerous arrests were made over the week in Arun and Chichester. The offences include criminal damage, excess alcohol, wanted on warrant, possession of knife, shoplifting, domestic assault, actual bodily harm, stalking, affray, grievous bodily harm, blackmail, prison recall, drug driving, and possession of cannabis, racially aggravated assault and assault police.

Yesterday a local man was arrested on suspicion of 3 shoplifting offences from Sainsbury’s in Littlehampton.  A joint effort from the Business Warden, shop security and us lead to the arrest.   He has been charged and remanded in court to appear today (25 April).

Bronze Close, Bersted – On Wednesday 18 April during the early hours of the morning a garage was broken into and a cycle stolen.  Serial 0377 of 18/04.


Burns Gardens, Felpham – Overnight on Wednesday 11 April a vehicle was broken into and loose change and keys stolen. Serial 0396 of 16/04.


Hinde Road, Felpham – Overnight on Friday 13 April a vehicle was entered and a silver iPod 3rd generation and charge leads were stolen.    Serial 0260 of 17/04.


Red Barn Crescent, Felpham – Overnight on Tuesday 17 April a vehicle was entered and a child’s football bag and golf clubs stolen.  Serial 0379 of 18/04.


Littlehampton, Arundel and Surround


Greenfields, Wick – Between Thursday 12 April and Monday 16 April a building site was entered and a tool box stolen.   Serial 0321 of 16/04. Serial 0321 of 16/04.


Yapton Road, Climping – Overnight on Friday 13 April two units were broken into; no items reported stolen.  Serial 0715 of 17/04.   


Farnhurst Road, Barnham – On Wednesday 18 April between 11 am and 2.30 pm a property was entered and jewellery stolen.   Serial 0275 of 18/04.  Serial 0275 of 18/04.


St Catherines Road, Littlehampton – Overnight on Monday 16 April a garage was entered and two cycles stolen. Serial 0393 of 18/04.


Fincham Close, East Preston – On Wednesday 18 April there was an attempt break to a garage; no entry was gained but damage was caused to the door.  Serial 1214 of 19/04.


Blossom Way, Barnham – Overnight on Monday 16 April an insecure vehicle was entered and a small black canvas backpack and ladies purple quilted coat stolen.  Serial 1282 of 18/04.
