26-year-old Hastings robbery suspect remanded in custody

Detectives investigating recent street robberies in Hastings and St Leonards have charged Christopher Alexander White, 26, unemployed, of Cambridge Gardens, Hastings, in connection with the case.

White appeared before magistrates on Friday (13 April) charged with three counts of robbery, two of threatening people with a machete, theft of a moped, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

He has been remanded in custody pending further proceedings.

Officers are still keen to hear from anyone who may have information about recent robberies and they are asked to contact police by phoning 101, quoting serial 1353.
