Numerous arrests were made over the weekend in Arun and Chichester. The offences included:- breach of bail conditions, drink driving, common assault, affray, breach of the peace and domestic assault.

Crime summary

Chichester (WC1)


Claypit Lane, Chichester – Overnight on Thursday 8 February a yard was broken into and tools stolen.  Serial 0184 of 09/02.


Church Road, Singleton – Overnight on Friday 9 February, a van was broken into and the following items stolen:- combination Makita 18v drill and driver, Makita 5” angle grinder and rothenberger power flushing machine.  Serial 0900 of 11/02. 


Selsey, The Witterings and surrounding area (WC2)


Manor Lane, Selsey - Between Saturday 3 February and Thursday 8 February, a property was broken into; cash and jewellery were among items stolen.  Serial 0566 of 08/02.


Midhurst, Petworth and surrounding area (WC3)


School Lane, Midhurst – Overnight on the 9 February a van was broken into by smashing the window; no items were stolen.  Serial 0273 of 10/02
