Pedestrian seriously injured in Worthing collision
Police are seeking witnesses to a Christmas Eve collision in which a pedestrian was seriously injured in Worthing.
At 8.50pm on Friday 24 December, a motor-cycle being ridden west was in collision with the 46-year-old male pedestrian in Brighton Road, Worthing.
The pedestrian was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious head injuries.
The 21-year-old man riding the motorcycle sustained minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and drug driving. After being interviewed he was released under investigation.
PC Nick Halsey of the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit said; "If you saw what happened we would like to hear from you. We would particularly like to speak to the driver of a Land Rover or Range Rover that was driving east at the time of the collision.

Crime summary
Fletcher Road, Broadwater – between 0800hrs and 1300hrs 21st December, a fence panel was knocked down and entry gained to a garden. Padlocks broken and damage caused to a garden shed and 2 outbuildings, a pedal cycle and tools were stolen. Cad 0606 21/12/21.
Harefield Avenue, West Tarring – between 2300hrs 20th December and 0900hrs 21st December, someone has caused damage to a garden shed, believe to enter and steal. Nothing was stolen and no entry was gained. Cad 0763 21/12/21.
Fletcher Road, Broadwater – between 2300hrs 20th December and 0700hrs 21st December, a door on a shed had been forced and entry gained. Nothing stolen but damage caused. Cad 0086 23/12/21.
Bolsover Road, West Tarring – between 28th and 30th December, a rear door to a property was damaged and entry was gained. Cad 0426 30/12/21.
Brighton Road, Lancing – between 0400hrs and 1000hrs 31st December, damage was caused to a garage door and the garage was entered. An untidy search was made, nothing appears to be stolen.  Cad 0640 31/12/21.
South Street, Lancing – between 1410hrs and 1615hrs 31st December, a flat was entered and money plus other items were stolen. Cad 1348 31/12/21.
Beach Green, Shoreham – over a period of time, a padlock was removed from a shed, entry was gained and a pedal cycle was stolen. Cad 0846 01/01/22.
