Appeal for witnesses to Southwater hit and run collision
 Police are investigating a hit and run collision in Worthing Road, Southwater and want to hear from witnesses.
The incident near the Hen and Chicken pub happened on Thursday (12 August) between 7pm and 7.30pm when a white VW Tiguan vehicle was driven erratically, and mounted the kerb hitting a 23-year-old pedestrian. The victim suffered a laceration to his head and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road collision. He has been released on bail until 9 September.
Detective Constable Steve Smethurst said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw the incidents or has any dash cam or CCTV footage of them to come forward.”

Sussex residents warned about increase in computer software service fraud
Police are warning residents to be vigilant after a rise in cases of computer software service fraud in Sussex, especially among vulnerable victims.
Since the start of the year, there have been 122 reports made to Sussex Police of computer software service fraud. Many of the victims have been women over the age of 75.
Of these 122 reports, 46 victims unfortunately suffered a loss of an average of £5,082. This then amounts to a staggering combined loss of £233,760.

Appeal after motorcyclist hurt in collision on the A29 near Horsham
 Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a motorcyclist and a car in Horsham.
A motorcyclist was travelling on the A29 Bognor Road when she was involved in a collision with a grey Jaguar X-Type at around 12.45pm on Sunday, July 18.
The 44-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.

Stane Street Close, Codmore Hill – in the morning of 16th August a car was scratched on both sides causing damage. Cad 0596 16/08/21
 
Southwater County Park, Southwater – between 1700hrs and 1800hrs 15th August, a car was damaged whilst parked. Cad 1517 16/08/21
 
Rock Road, Storrington – time unknown, damage was caused to play park equipment. Cad 1296 16/08/21
