Sussex Country Watch Newsletter

Firstly, I must apologise for the quality of the content of the messages below, this is due to me not having the usual access to crime reports as I am having to work away from the office. It is hoped that normal service will resume soon.

Reported loose animals on the highway this week is 25.
This was made up by 4 Sheep and 21 Cows.

Please check your boundary hedges and fences to include, especially those that border Highways and Railways at least once every day.

Crime and incident update
If you have any evidence, no matter how small, on any of the crimes listed below, please call it in on the non-emergency number 101 and quote the reference number and date as given to the left of the report, of for that matter any other crime.

ADVICE AND INFORMATION

Over the last 6 months there has been a sudden rise in the number of water troughs being stolen from fields across both East and West Sussex. Not only does this leave livestock without water, it causes extensive water damage to the field.

POACHING & HARE COURSING
We are still receiving many calls each week concerning Poaching and/or Hare Coursing, far too many to report on without getting boring, anyone who suspects illegal poaching or hare coursing is taking place, please call Sussex Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency, i.e. poaching or hare coursing is occurring in front of you there and then.
