News and appeals

Over the weekend we received 376 calls relating to incidents across Arun and Chichester.

Our officers made 35 arrests with a total of 78 arrests in the last week.
Some of the offences include: Grievous bodily harm, harassment, possession of an offensive weapon, supply of Class A drugs, wanted on warrant, robbery, burglary, and assault on Police.

Man handed an eight month sentence for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order

Crime summary


Pevensey Road, Bognor – On Friday 26 June during the early hours of the morning a property was entered, believed via a rear insecure window and a purse was stolen.  Serial 0424 of 26/06.

Sandymount Avenue, Orchard – On Tuesday 23 June heavy duty orange paint was thrown all over a vehicle and all four tyres were punctured.   Serial 0501 of 23/06.

Ivy Crescent, Hotham – Between 6.30 pm on Monday 22 June and 3.30 pm on Tuesday 23 June a vehicle was entered and personal items stolen.  Serial 0967 of 23/06.
Littlehampton and surrounding areas

Westlands, Rustington – On Monday 22 June between 1.30 pm and 7.30 pm a cycle was stolen from an insecure garage.   Serial 0301 of 23/06.

Queen Street, Arundel – Overnight on Saturday 27 June a green Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen.   Serial 0326 of 28/06.

Sea Avenue, Rustington – Between Saturday 27 June afternoon and Sunday 28 afternoon a beach hut was broken into and paint poured within.   Serial 0899 and 28/06.
