News and appeals

A number of arrests were made during this week. Offences include:- drug driving, possession of a Class B drug, grievous bodily harm, obstruction, assault police, burglary dwelling, possession of a Class A drug, actual bodily harm, burglary dwelling, shoplifting, drunk and disorderly, harassment, going equipped, stalking, wanted on warrant, theft of motor, burglary other than dwelling, theft, immigration and theft of cycle.  
 

Sussex Police officer increase on track

Sussex Police remains on track to increase police officers this year.
Chief Constable Giles York has confirmed the force is on track to see 2,725 officers in post by March 2020- 176 more than a year ago.

Worms Lane, Felpham- between 01:00pm on Wednesday 20 November and 10:00am on Thursday 21 November two sheds have been broken into and a strimmer taken.   Serial 0088 22/11
 
Victoria Drive, Orchard- at around 03:00am on Monday 18 November CCTV has picked up an unknown male trying to gain entry to a vehicle.    Serial 0786 18/11
 
Highland Avenue, Bognor Regis- at around 03:00am on Monday 18 November CCTV has picked up an unknown male trying door handles to several vehicles.   Serial 1332 18/11
 
The Marigolds, Bersted- between midnight and 08:00am on Tuesday 19 November entry has been gained to a vehicle, an untidy search has been conducted but nothing taken.   Serial 1174 19/11
 
Collyer Avenue, Bognor Regis- between Tuesday 19 November and Friday 22 November a shed has been entered and fishing equipment has been taken.   Serial 1531 23/11
 
Pryors Green, Aldwick- overnight into the early hours of Friday 22 November a vehicle has been entered but nothing taken.   Serial 0188 22/11
 
Nyetimber Lane, Aldwick- at 01:15am on Friday 22 November three vehicle door handles have been tried, no entry gained.   Serial 0960 22/11
 
Felpham Way, Felpham- between 05:00pm on Sunday 17 November and 09:00pm on Thursday 21 November both wing mirrors have been smashed on a vehicle.   Serial 1419 21/11
 
Burnham Avenue, Bognor Regis- between 09:00pm on Saturday 23 November and 08:00am on Sunday 24 November a motorcycle has been damaged.   Serial 0257 24/11

Griffin Crescent, Wick- between midnight and 05:00am on Tuesday 19 November an attempt to break into a property has been made. Entry was attempted by smashing the conservatory doors.   Serial 0190 19/11
 
Ketch Road, Beach- overnight into the morning of Friday 22 November a burglary has taken place. Unknown if anything has been taken.   Serial 1424 22/11
 
Henty Close, Walberton- between 11:30am and 04:45pm on Monday 18 November a property has been entered and cash and jewelry have been taken.   Serial 1128 18/11
 
Belle Meade Close, Barnham- at 04:45am on Tuesday 19 November someone has attempted to gain entry to a property and the front door lock tampered with.   Serial 0187 19/11
 
Climping Park, Yapton- at 05:30pm on Tuesday 19 November a property has been entered and male has been seen running from the house. An untidy search has been carried out but nothing taken.   Serial 1242 19/11
 
Tarrant Street, Arundel- Between 09:30pm on Sunday 10 November and 06:45am on Monday 11 November an opportunistic burglary has taken place and two handbags containing high value items have been taken.   Serial 1116 22/11

St Mary’s Meadow, Yapton- at around 05:00am on Friday 15 November someone has entered a vehicle and conducted and untidy search, nothing taken.   Serial 0067 18/11
 
Bilsham Road, Yapton- between 09:00pm on Monday 18 November and 07:00am on Tuesday 19 November entry has been gained to a vehicle by smashing the driver’s window and the card from the camera on the dash has been taken.   Serial 0744 19/11
 
Gladstone Road, Yapton- just after 01:00am on Thursday 21 November a male has been disturbed whilst sat inside a vehicle looking through the glove box and has run off.   Serial 0062 21/11
 
Beam Close, Yapton- between 10:20 on Thursday 21 November and 07:10 on Friday 22 November a vehicle has been entered and an untidy search has been carried out, unknown if anything taken.   Serial 0230 22/11
 
Navigation Drive, Yapton- overnight into morning of Friday 22 November a vehicle has been entered, untidy search carried out but nothing taken.   Serial 0283 22/11

East Ham Road, Ham- between 07:30pm on Saturday 23 November and 10:15am on Sunday 24 November a vehicle has been stolen.   Serial 0420 24/11
 
Lewis Lane, Yapton- overnight on Saturday 23 November into morning of 24 November a vehicle has been entered and a child’s toy taken.   Serial 0651 24/11
 
Bayford Road, River- between 10:30pm on Saturday 23 November and 12:15pm on Sunday 24 November the front door to a property has been damaged.   Serial 0577 24/11
 
Clapham Close, Clapham- between 09:00pm on Saturday 23 November and 09:00am on Sunday 24 November a vehicle has been damaged. The wing mirror has been bent back, the wipers bent and sprayed with foam.   Serial 0327 24/11 
 
 
Anti-Social Behaviour

 
Tideway, Beach- at 12:30pm on Tuesday 19 November a motorbike has sped down Tideway, mounted the pavement and driven into Mewsbrook Park. The bike has then driven around the small garden area and sped off.   Serial 1435 19/11
 
Station Road, East Preston- at 21:45 on Saturday 23 November two males have been seen riding on a motorbike without helmets.   Serial 1400 23/11
