News and appeals

A number of arrests were made during this week. Offences include:- drug driving, possession of a Class B drug, grievous bodily harm, obstruction, assault police, burglary dwelling, possession of a Class A drug, actual bodily harm, burglary dwelling, shoplifting, drunk and disorderly, harassment, going equipped, stalking, wanted on warrant, theft of motor, burglary other than dwelling, theft, immigration and theft of cycle.  
 
 
Sussex Police officer increase on track
Sussex Police remains on track to increase police officers this year.
Chief Constable Giles York has confirmed the force is on track to see 2,725 officers in post by March 2020- 176 more than a year ago.

Police appeal for witnesses to fatal Chichester collision
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a lorry and pedal cycle. The collision happened on A259 Fishbourne Road West at the junction with Salthill Road, Chichester just before 1:55pm on Wednesday 20 November.
Any information is to be reported online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Davenham.
