Witnesses sought after man is killed in Horsham crash
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was tragically killed in a crash in Horsham.

At 11.41am on Thursday 12 September, police received a report of a hit-and-run on the roundabout at the junctions of Rusper Road and Redkiln Way.

A blue Nissan Almera had collided with a blue Ford Transit van before making off from the scene.

The van driver – a 53-year-old man from Southwater – was taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill with serious injuries.

Approximately five minutes later, the same Nissan was reported to have collided with a black Audi SQ5 in nearby Forest Road.

The driver of the Nissan – a 57-year-old man from Pulborough – was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The passenger in the Nissan – a 54-year-old man from Pulborough – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the Audi reported minor injuries.

Forest Road was closed until approximately 6pm as emergency services attended the scene.

Anyone who witnessed either of the incidents, or either of the vehicles being driven in the area, are asked to email quoting Operation Hayseed.
Motorcyclist sadly confirmed dead following A29 collision
A motorcyclist who collided with a 4x4 on the A29 Bognor Road, Broadbridge Heath, on Saturday afternoon (14 September) has sadly died.

The incident involving a blue Jeep and a Black Kawasaki occurred at the junction with Rowhook Road about 1.39pm.

Officers were tasked with making the motorcyclist’s next of kin aware before being able to confirm he sustained fatal injuries at the scene. He was a 39-year-old man from Surrey.

No other injuries were reported.

The victim is believed to have been travelling southbound with at least one other motorcycle – a blue Yamaha – when the collision occurred.

Anyone who saw what happened, or saw either of the vehicles in the area beforehand – specifically anyone with dash cam – is asked to email quoting Operation Yorkhill.

A section of the A29 was closed until approximately 8pm as emergency services attended the scene, and officers would like to thank road users for their patience and understanding.
Police investigating Horsham assault release CCTV image
Police investigating a report of a 17-year-old girl being kicked in the head in Horsham have released this CCTV image of a teenage girl they would like to speak to.

The victim was out with her friends on Wednesday 28 August at about 9.30pm in Albion Way next to the Waitrose store when they were approached by a group of girls who were verbally abusive to them. Two of them then grabbed the victim's hair and pulled her to floor before kicking her head a number of times. She suffered cuts, grazes and bruising.

PC Jozef Dzwonnik said: "This was a nasty unprovoked attack and we are appealing for anyone who recognises the person in the image or has any information about it to come forward."
