News and appeals

Numerous arrests were made during the week.  Offences include:  excess alcohol, domestic assault, affray, criminal damage, shoplifting, actual bodily harm, wanted on warrant, threats to damage, grievous bodily harm, assault police, possession of class A, burglary dwelling, attempted theft from motor vehicle, affray, breach of bail, assault police, stalking and drug driving.

Crime summary

Annandale Avenue, Orchard – Between Friday 23 August and Friday 30 August a property was broken into and a Playstation 4 and controllers stolen.  Serial 0537 of 30/08.
Corbishley Road, Orchard – Overnight on Friday 30 August an insecure property was entered and a handbag stolen. Serial 0350 of 31/08.  

Marine Drive, Marine – On Saturday 31 August, fridge stock was stolen from a business.  Serial 0643 of 31/08.
Waterloo Square, Marine - Overnight on Saturday 31 August a business was broken into and a tip jar and money from the till was stolen.  Serial 0343 of 01/09.

Westfield, Bersted – On Sunday 1 September we received a report of a shed having been broken into and travel luggage stolen.  Serial 0955 of 01/09
Clydesdale Gardens, Bersted – Overnight on Wednesday 28 August, a ‘Carrera’ mountain bike was stolen from a shed.    Serial 0050 of 30/08.
Den Avenue, Hotham – Overnight on Monday 26 August, a vehicle was entered and paperwork stolen.  Serial 0101 of 27/08.  
Poulner Close, Felpham – On Tuesday 27 August, during the early hours of the morning, two vehicles were entered: an Acer Aspire E15 laptop and paperwork were stolen.  Serial 0279 of 27/08. 
Church Way, Pagham – Overnight on Monday 26 August, money was stolen from a vehicle.  Serial 1377 of 27/08.   
Vicarage Lane, Felpham – Overnight on Tuesday 27 August a vehicle was entered and a sat nav and loose change stolen.  Serial 0962 of 28/
Orchard Way, Orchard – Overnight on Saturday 31 August a vehicle was entered and a charity box stolen.  Serial 0922 of 01/09. 

Littlehampton, Arundel and Surround
Worthing Road, Wick – Overnight on Monday 26 August there was an attempt break to a business, all the windows were smashed but no entry was gained.  Serial 0199 of 27/08.
Quayside, Littlehampton – Overnight on Saturday 24 August a business was broken into and the contents of the safe stolen.  Serial 0431 of 27/08.

New Road, River – Overnight on Wednesday 28 August, a vehicle was entered; nothing was reported stolen.  Serial 0298 of 29/08.
Bayford Road, River – On Sunday 1 September during the morning a trailer was stolen this morning.   Serial 1128 of 01/09.

Hinchliff Drive, Wick – Overnight on Friday 30 August a vehicle was entered; nothing was reported stolen.  Serial 0951 of 31/08.   
Anti-Social Behaviour
Marine Park Gardens, Aldwick – On Monday 26 August there was a report of youths smashing bottles and behaving in an anti-social manner.  Officers attended but the youths had already moved on.  Serial 1597 of 26/08.
