Witness Appeal to Residents in Crawley Down

Alert message sent 03/05/2019 15:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Sussex Police

We are appealing for information and witnesses in relation to a series of anti social behaviour and criminal incidents occurring in public serving business premises in Crawley Down.

Between 23 April to 28 April, hours of 7pm - 4pm, Crawley Down Cricket Club, Sandy Lane was broken into.  The suspects smashed the window of the club house causing internal damage and leaving the smell of Cannabis.  If you have information, please call or report online referencing 1312 30/04.

We received a further report from the club reporting that between 1 May to 2 May, hours of 8pm to 8.30 am, the front door of the club was smashed in, the suspects stole snacks and alcohol and attempted to set fire to the back door and caused damage by attempts to smash door in.  Reference 0329 02/05.

This is likely linked to youths reported to have broken in to The Royal Oak pub, and were seen on the roof of building earlier this year

Please report Anti Social Behaviour via 101 or our online reporting system on our Sussex Police website.
