Numerous arrests were made over this week.  Offences included attempted arson, domestic assault, drug driving, theft from motor vehicle, criminal damage, actual bodily harm, common assault, wanted on warrant, possession of class B drug, dangerous driving, fail to stop, attempt grievous bodily harm, drug driving, affray, assault police, actual bodily harm, breach of bail and harassment, perverting the course of justice and stalking.   
 
 
Police investigating an allegation of rape in Tangmere
 
Police are investigating an allegation of rape, which is reported to have occurred in a field in Tangmere, Chichester between 7pm and 8.30 pm on Friday 26 April.  For more information, please click on the link below:

Chichester Criminal Damage – Man arrested and charged
 
A man has been arrested and charged with three counts of causing criminal damage at the Co-op store in Lavant Road, Chichester in March and April following a spate of window smashing.  For more details click on the link below:

Chichester (WC1)
 
Clay Lane, Chichester – On Monday 22 April a shed was broken into at a property and a bike and garden strimmer stolen.  Serial 0287 22/4
 
Canal Place, Chichester – On Wednesday 24 April a flat was broken into during day time hours.  An untidy search was made of the premises and cash stolen.  Serial 0939 24/4
 
Marlpit Lane, Emsworth – On Sunday 28 April we received a report of an attempt break to stables.  This occurred between 26/4 and 27/4.  Damage was caused to the location but nothing stolen.  Serial 0829 28/4
 
Weston Lane, Funtington, Chichester – Overnight into 25 April a Landrover vehicle had doors and a bonnet removed.   0193 25/4
 
West Dean, Chichester – On Sunday 28 April a vehicle was broken into in a car park.  Both number plates were also stolen from the vehicle.  Serial 0832 28/4
 
Goodwood, Chichester – On Sunday 28 April a van was broken into and a number of electrical tools stolen.  Serial 0868 28/4
 
Selsey, The Witterings and surrounding area (WC2)
 
Pound Road, West Wittering – On Tuesday 23 April a property under renovation was broken into and tools stolen from the location. Serial 1369 23/4
 
B2145, Hunston – On Monday 22 April a vehicle was broken into in a public car park at 1730 hrs.  A number of personal possessions including a drone were taken from the vehicle.  Serial 0215 22/4
 
The Street, Itchenor – On Thursday 25 April we received a report of 3 high value boat engines stolen from the back of boats.  Serial 0023 25/4
 
Midhurst, Petworth and surrounding area (WC3)
 
Lambourne lane, Milland, Liphook – On Wednesday 24 April we received a report of a break to a residential property.  Money was stolen from the house.  Serial 1276 24/4
 
Lickfold, Petworth – On Thursday 25 April a property was broken into overnight.  Keys were stolen from the property and a Dark Blue BMW M5 taken from the driveway.  Serial 0162 25/4.
 
Midhurst & Fittleworth – On Thursday 25 April, we received four separate reports of garden furniture and other items being taken from gardens. Locations included Cherry Close - Midhurst, Poplar Way – Midhurst and Hemsworth Com, Fittleworth.
 
Heathfield Green, Midhurst – On Friday 26 April we received a report of a vehicle been stolen.  This occurred between 1930x0700 hrs on 26 April.  The vehicle was later recovered in Hampshire. 0215 26/4
 
Nyewood, Petersfield – On Sunday 28 April we received a report of a vehicle break.  It is thought this occurred between 23 April and 24 April.  A number of fishing equipment items were stolen from the vehicle.  Serial 0886 28/4
 
Over the week, a number of vehicle breaks were reported in beauty spot car parks in this area.  Locations include, South Harting, Cocking Hill and Heathend Copse.
