There have been a number of reported incidents of vehicle windows being targeted in Lindfield where several residents have had their car windows smashed by a catapult, bb gun or something similar. 

If this has happened to you and you have not reported it, please contact our 101 non-emergency line, or via our online portal on the Sussex Police Website.

These reports are being collated and used to support the need for CCTV camera’s to be placed in the affected location, we are also working with the parish council and the local council to resolve the street lighting problems.

If you have any information on who may be committing these acts, please report it to us, you can remain anonymous.

Police Campaigns:

Almost 100 people were arrested during a Christmas crackdown on drink and drug-drivers who have now been convicted in courts across Sussex and Surrey from 1 December 2018 to 1 January 2019.

Details of people convicted as part of the campaign will be published through our website.

Theft of Mopeds and Motorbikes:

We are running a campaign to encourage moped and motorbike riders and enthusiasts to protect their vehicles from would be thieves after a rise was seen last summer and the end of 2018.

Police News:

There were 17 arrests in Mid Sussex over the weekend, some of the offences  included drink drive, grievous bodily harm, burglary, possession of cannabis, criminal damage, wanted person, theft from shop, robbery.

Vigilant neighbours in London Road, Burgess Hill alerted police to a burglary in progress in the early hours of 12 April.  The neighbours heard noises coming from a property and saw a ladder and movement on the roof of the property, they were also able to provide the vehicle details and index number of the suspect’s vehicle. One of the suspects was caught and arrested, we are looking for information on the accompanying suspects.
