Alert message sent 05/10/2018 08:37:00

Information sent on behalf of Sussex Police

Friday, 5 October 2018

Dear Citizen

We know that the people in Sussex are passionate about the country side. From Saturday 6 October we are launching our new Sussex Countrywatch scheme. This new email message service will replace the weekly Farm Watch bulletins which you currently receive.

As a Farm Watch subscriber you do not need to do anything, you will automatically receive the new Sussex Countrywatch updates.

  • The first Sussex Countrywatch message will be sent on Monday 15 October
  • How you receive weekly bulletins will not change
  • You’ll receive updates from police and partner agencies on rural matters together with sound crime prevention advice to help protect your homes and businesses
  • Communication between police, partners and our rural communities will be improved
  • By reporting incidents and sharing information you’ll become part of a network of eyes and ears to help us and our partners be effective in keeping people safe
  • By working together, we can have a positive impact by strengthening our rural communities creating a network of information sharing

We also recently launched our Rural Crime strategy which outlines how Sussex Police will keep people in rural communities safe and feeling safe. You can read it here https://sussex.police.uk/advice/protect-your-neighbourhood/rural-crime/

Thank you.
