Update on last weekend's Operation Blitz activity

Friday night’s Op Blitz was patrolled by PCSOs Kent, McNirlan, Collins & PC Goudie. The officers started their Op Blitz patrols at Lewes Malling Field. They made their first visit at 5:20pm and returned for a second visit at 10:30pm. On the first visit, the officers spoke with some members of the public but everything was in order and no one was seen on the second visit. The officers then moved over to Peacehaven to the Meridian Centre at 8:00pm. The officers patrolled around the centre but there were no security members of staff present however they spoke with the blood donation nurses and Meridian Centre cleaner and they reported no issues. From here, they moved over to West QUAY in Newhaven. The officers conducted two visits here, the first at 7:00pm and again at 11:15pm. A group of youths were moved on as they were drinking and acting in an anti-social manner. The officers also made visits to the Denton Nature Reserve at 8:40pm and 23:30pm with everything being in order and nobody being seen. The Salts and Dane Road in Seaford were the next two locations for the officer’s patrols at 9:15pm and 10:45pm. Again, there was no one present and everything was all in order. The final stop on their Op Blitz journey this evening was the car park on Claremont Road in Seaford. They patrolled the car park at 9:00pm and again at 10:55 but it was a quiet end to the day with everything being all in order.

Unfortunately, due to other taskings and commitments, the Op Blitz taskings were unable to be carried out. The officers will be back in action next weekend.
