Hair raising alarm spooks would-be Haywards Heath burglar.

After midnight on Sunday 16 October, this man forced entry into Rush hair salon in South Road. 

Fortunately the alarm appears to have spooked him before he was able to make off with anything, or cause any further damage.

Distraction Burglary/Prevention Advice/Op Signature;


A distraction burglary took place in Downs View Road, Hassocks on 14 September, reported on 21 September.

 Three workman knocked on the victim’s door and informed them that they had loose tiles on the top of their roof, then  offered to fix them for £10.  The victim went to get the money from the kitchen and returned, whilst a second suspect went around the back of the house to the kitchen and came across the victim’s wife, he then told her to join her husband to look at where the loose tiles were which she did.  Later the victims found £100 missing.
