Farm Watch Coordinator's Update

This week a total of 11 animals were reported as loose on the public highways of Sussex – a vast improvement on last week. This number was made up of 7 sheep and 4 horses. As always, please continue to check your roadside hedges and fences on a daily basis.

Battery Thefts
So far this year there have been 11 reports of batteries being stolen, equating to a more than 110 units in total. These batteries can be sold for scrap at around £10 per battery and so can seem an attractive option for thieves. Please take the time to securely store any batteries that you have or consider selling them for scrap yourself.

Kind regards

Phillip
