News and appeals

Numerous arrests were made over the week in Arun and Chichester. The offences included:- drunk and disorderly, excess alcohol, theft of motor vehicle, going equipped, possession of Class B drug, drink driving, criminal damage, shoplifting and breach of bail.


Strap in to save Lives – It’s Seatbelt Week


With an estimated two million drivers in the UK still not wearing a seatbelt when they’re driving, Sussex Safer Roads Partnership is reminding road users of the dangers of not belting up in their cars.

Beauty Spot Car Park Vehicle


We are seeing an increase in vehicle crimes in the Chichester Beauty Spot car parks.  Please remain vigilant and do not leave any valuables in your car.   The following link can provide further advice on preventing vehicle crime:-

Chichester (WC1)


St James Square, Chichester – On Monday 5 March there was an attempt break in to a property.  No entry gained.  Serial 0067 05/03/2018


Hannah Square, Chichester – On Tuesday 6 March a vehicle was broken into despite being locked.  Tools stolen.  Serial 0164 06/03/2018.


Norwich Road, Chichester – On Tuesday 6 March a vehicle was broken into and tools stolen.  Serial 0184 06/03/2018


North Road, Bosham – On Tuesday 6 March lorry batteries and vehicle wheels were stolen from outside of property and from garage.  Serial 0587 06/03/2018


Tangmere Road, Tangmere – On Friday 9 March there was an attempt break into a property via smashed kitchen window.  No entry gained.  Serial 0272 09/03/2018


Clay Lane, Fishbourne on Saturday 10 March there was an attempt break to a barn.  Entry was not gained and nothing taken.  Serial 0608 10/03/2018

Selsey, The Witterings and surrounding area (WC2)


High Street, Selsey – On Wednesday 7 March a property was broken into and personal items stolen.  Serial 0830 07/03/2018


Selsey Road, Donnington – On Saturday 10 March there was a break into a garage and tools stolen.  Serial 0969 10/03/2018


Dell Quay Road, Chichester – on Sunday 11 March a vehicle was broken into and handbag stolen.  Serial 0741 11/03/2018


Midhurst, Petworth and surrounding area (WC3)


Bexley Hill, Petworth – On 11 March a garage was broken into and tools stolen.  Serial 1098 11/3/2018
