Following the recent adverse weather and rapid thaw there has been multiple water problems across the area, mainly East Sussex.
A number of bursts water pipes have been identified and 22,000 people currently have no water. Properties in Cuckfield, Warninglid, Burgess Hill, Wadhurst, Maresfield, Beckley, Peasmarsh, Iden and Crowborough are affected.
Agencies are working together to address the issue. Sussex Police, East Sussex and West Sussex Fire and Rescue, East Sussex and West Sussex County Council and, Southern Water and South East Water are regularly meeting to provide a coordinated response to this issue and make sure everyone in the county is safe.
Please do not use water for anything which isn't essential if you are in areas affected.
