Police drop in session success

Alert message sent 31/01/2018 14:06:00

Information sent on behalf of Sussex Police

Last Fridays drop in surgery held at Paradise Park Newhaven, gave residents an opportunity to chat to Police  Community Support Officers and raise any issues affecting them in the area.

Abandoned vehicles and anti-social driving was an one issues brought to our attention,  we were able to discuss specific incidents and let people know about Operation Crackdown (http://www.operationcrackdown.org/#) a joint initiative run by the SSRP and Sussex Police which gives the Sussex community an opportunity to report specific instances of anti-social driving/riding as well as any abandoned vehicles left on the roads.

The surgery gave us an opportunity to raise awareness around scam and we handed out a number of Sussex Police’s ‘Little book of Scams’ which provides advice and support about fraud and scams. Here’s  a link to the digital version https://sussex.police.uk/media/1162/1-lbbs.pdf

.

Many thanks to Paradise Park staff for their hospitality, and allowing us to use their premises.
