Welcoming Our New Senior Officers

Alert message sent 10/01/2018 09:58:00

Information sent on behalf of Sussex Police

Wednesday, 10 January 2018

Emma Brice has been temporarily promoted to Superintendent, Divisional Command for East Sussex. She will have responsibility for policing across East Sussex, and we wish her well in this new role.

Chief Inspector Anita Turner will replace Emma as District Commander for Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden districts. Anita will be responsible for all local policing and ensuring the new local prevention policing model is working well for our local communities. Anita joins us from Hastings District where she has worked very successfully in local policing for a number of years. She will continue the focus on making our residents safe by targeting crime and anti-social behaviour throughout our districts rural communities and urban areas. Anita says “I am very much looking forward to getting to know the area well, understanding your local communities, listening to your concerns and providing the appropriate police response”.

Also supporting your area we welcome the recently appointed Prevention Inspector for Wealden, Jon Gross. Jon is taking over from Tony Wakefield and has a background in public protection and investigations. He has a broad range of policing skills combined with excellent knowledge of our local areas. He states “I am delighted to have been selected to lead the Prevention team at Wealden.  The District is a great place to live and work and I am relishing the challenge of ensuring our local team meets the policing requirements of our communities”.
