Update on last weekend's Operation Blitz activity

The Operation Blitz patrol in the Lewes District again spent time at the Meridian Centre, Peacehaven with youths displaying anti-social behaviour by spitting at Security Guards and making threats. Police treat these incidents seriously and we continue to work with the Security Team to deal with those few youths causing the most problems.

We shall continue using Dispersal Orders in this location to disrupt their behaviour and will consider issuing Fixed Penalty Notices and seize their bikes to get the point across that their behaviour will not be tolerated.

Both Newhaven and Seaford were fairly quiet last weekend, despite it being the Christmas weekend - all youths spoken to were polite and compliant.
